Politics and Religion… Lost Subjects in America

politics-religionBy Marion Algier – Ask Marion

Politics,  religion… politicians (the ruling’ elite) and God are the entities and concepts that in one way or another affect everything in everyone’s lives.  Yet in America, where the common man was actually able to take part in the decisions, laws and activities concerning politics and religion in their lives, a large percentage of ‘the average man of the 21st century’ neither knows nor cares little about either.

The “no talk of politics and religion” that has crept into all sectors of American life is bad and is very much part of of what has brought us to this point in our history. The Founding Fathers of America certainly discussed politics and religion wherever they went and encouraged their children to be part of the debate.

So why is it that people don’t talk about the two most important subjects that affect everyone?  Because the ruling elite… the Progressives, convinced us all that it is socially incorrect to do so.  It was part of their plan to manipulate the conversation of America… of average people everywhere; part of the dumbing down process.

“Never talk about politics and religion at work.”

“Never talk about politics and religion at parties.”

“Never talk about politics and religion on social media.”

“Don’t talk about politics and religion at the dinner table!“

“Never talk politics and religion at family events of any type!”

I married into a family who never talks religion or politics, or about much of anything else important anywhere or anytime.  (I have more than once asked my husband to find his adoption papers… being sure he could not really be part of this family!)  They are boring, uninteresting, don’t really know the people they claim are their friends and family, and are definitely part of America’s problem!!  And this behavior is something that is now becoming engrained throughout our American culture; the talk of politics and religion is almost non-existent.

The line preached to the masses is that politics and religion have torn apart humanity for centuries, so a censored discussion environment will get us that much closer to real human harmony… or just easier for the power brokers, international bankers and political elite to control us?!?

Harmony at the cost of discussing religion and politics should scare everyone, but our children have been indoctrinated and are not taught to engage in debate or critical thinking, so if that is not an activity at their dinner table, family get-togethers or within their circle of friends they become drones to be used.

As William Bradshaw says in Politics and Religion Do Mix:

“No two subjects are more important for one’s total well-being than religion and politics. Politics is all about one’s well-being when living in this life, and religion is all about one’s well-being in the life to come. What could possibly be more important than these two subjects??”

The greatest thing families: parents, grandparents, extended family and those who work with young people can do is to engage our youth.  Invigorate them and teach them to think for themselves.

It is time of get rid of multiculturalism, politically correctness!!

The tide is beginning to turn, but we are out of time.  The elections of 2014 and 2016 will define the future of America… So the time to speak up and speak out is now!!

About Ask Marion

I am a babyboomer and empty nester who savors every moment of my past and believes that it is the responsibility of each of us in my generation and Americans in general to make sure that America is as good or even a better place for future generations as it was for us. So far... we haven't done very well!! Favorite Quotes: "The first 50 years are to build and acquire; the second 50 are to leave your legacy"; "Do something that scares you every day!"; "The journey in between what you once were and who you are becoming is where the dance of life really takes place". At age 62 I find myself fighting inoperable uterine Cancer and thanks to the man upstairs and the prayers from so many people including many of my readers from AskMarion and JustOneMorePet... I'm beating it. After losing our business because of the economy and factors related to the re-election of President Obama in 2012 followed by 16-mos of job hunting, my architect-trained husband is working as a trucker and has only been home approximately 5-days a month since I was diagnosed, which has made everything more difficult and often lonely... plus funds are tight. Our family medical deductible is 12K per year for two of us; thank you ObamaCare. But thanks to donations from so many of you, we are making ends meet as I go through treatment while taking care of my father-in-law who is suffering from late stage Alzheimer's and my mother-in-law who suffers from RA and onset dementia as well as hearing loss, for which there are no caretaker funds, as I continue the fight here online to inform and help restore our amazing country. And finally I need to thank a core group of family, friends, and readers... all at a distance, who check in with me regularly. Plus, I must thank my furkids who have not left my side through this fight. You can see them at JustOneMorePet.
