WND: The Gang of Eight immigration bill can be summed up as amnesty now, border closing never. The Department of Homeland Security is not required to build a fence (which was ordered by the Secure Fence Act signed by President George W. Bush). DHS is required only to submit a plan.

If the DHS secretary decides she has not reached 90 percent of border security, a “trigger” kicks in: the creation of a Southern Border Security Commission empowered (horrors!) to make recommendations. After six months of pondering its mission, the Commission automatically self-liquidates, so there will never be border security.

The Gang of Eight bill will give legal residence to 11 million illegal aliens, which is the actual goal for which they undertook their journey and broke U.S. law. Their new U.S. legality will be concealed under the pompous bureaucratic title, Registered Provisional Immigrant (RPI) status.

This amnesty will cost the U.S. taxpayers $6.3 trillion over the lifetimes of the amnestied persons, mostly outside the 10-year window used for CBO calculations. This horrendous sum, which includes all forms of public benefits less the taxes RPIs pay, was copiously documented by the Heritage Foundation.

The Gang of Eight authorizes the issuance of 33 million lifetime work permits (for 11 million amnesties plus accelerated chain migration) over the next 10 years. This enormous influx of job seekers will flood our labor markets and communities, thus continuing the high unemployment of Americans, driving down the wages of those who do have jobs, and eliminating their hope of ever rising to the middle class and achieving the American dream.

Every amnestied person will become eligible for Obamacare upon receiving a green card, and within five years will be able to cash in on our 79 means-tested welfare benefits. The timetable for these generous benefits will almost certainly be advanced because of Sen. Chuck Schumer’s demands, Obama’s executive orders, or lawsuits brought before judges who believe in a “living” Constitution.

The promises made about E-Verify have a loophole for existing employees and even for those who steal American identities to get a job. Members of the Gang of Eight even included special provisions (earmarks) to import cheap labor to work in their own state’s industries.

The Gang of Eight’s so-called requirement that those amnestied will have to pay back taxes is a sham. They will be asked to pay only any taxes already computed and assessed by the Internal Revenue Service and, since the many years the illegals worked off the books never came to the attention of the IRS, those years will not be counted.

There are so many loopholes and exemptions to the so-called requirement that amnestied aliens speak English that it’s a total farce.

All 11 million amnestied immigrants are supposed to have a background check, but the mere recital of such a requirement sounds like a joke. Our FBI and CIA missed so many obvious clues that the Boston Marathon bomber Tamarlan was a potential terrorist that government background checks on 11 million persons should provoke an “are you kidding?” laugh.

IRS bureaucrats testified in the congressional hearing that the IRS was so overwhelmed by the copious paperwork involved in a few hundred tea party applications that the IRS had to perform “triage.” So how can the IRS cope with 11 million applications for RPI status from people whose paperwork is mostly forged or stolen?

Any government program managed by the liberals always includes a “follow the money” segment. The Gang of Eight’s claim to promote “immigrant integration” is a ruse to give taxpayers’ money to left-wing and Islamist activist groups such as CASA, La Raza, MALDEF and CAIR.

The Gang of Eight bill defines these groups as “nonprofit organizations including those with legal advocacy experience working with immigrant countries.” They are actually Alinsky-style community organizers that focus on recruiting and politicizing immigrants.

Current U.S. law provides for the yearly admission of more than 1 million persons, more than any nation in the world; the Gang of Eight’s bill will double that number. Because of our government’s failure to enforce so many existing laws, such as using a biometric entry-and-exit system to track visitors, we should have a pause in legal immigration until current laws are obeyed.

One big fraud in the current admission of legal immigrants is illustrated by the entry of the Boston bomber’s family as refugees. Remember, they were given welfare benefits worth $100,000.

The Gang of Eight bill will reduce Republicans and conservatives to a permanent minority status. For the last century, immigrants who came in big waves voted at least 2-to-1 Democratic. In recent years it was 3-to-1, and there is zero evidence that the amnestied persons believe in Republican principles such as limited government and balanced budgets.

Amid the tragedy in Oklahoma, one woman who lost everything says God answered both of her prayers.

CBS News spoke with Barbara Garcia in the wake of the devastating tornado Monday, the woman’s suburban neighborhood now nothing more than flattened homes and rubble.  Badly shaken but resilient, explains how she is okay but that her dog was torn from her.

“I was sitting on the stool holding by dog — this was the game plan all through the years, [to] go in that little bathroom,” Garcia began.  “The electric went off in the bathroom about the same time I felt the stool come up out of the floor.  And I rolled around a little bit, and when it stopped…that fresh stove cooker is what I saw.”

Garcia’s arms appear to be badly cut in multiple places, but she spoke first of her dog.

“I hollered for my little dog and he didn’t answer, didn’t come, so I know he’s in here somewhere,” she said, scanning the apocalyptic landscape.

Garcia then addressed the tornado itself, saying it came and was gone in a flash.

“I thought, ‘well, I’m okay!’  And I had some stuff on top of me and I started wiggling…” she said.

Interviewer Anna Werner interrupted: “Are you able to comprehend what happened here?”

“I know exactly what happened here!” Garcia responded.  After a beat she added, “This is life in the big city.”

But that’s when the most incredible thing happened.  One of the CBS crew says in astonishment, “the dog!”

The camera then pans to an enormous pile of a rubble, the little dog whimpering and trying to burrow his way out.

Garcia immediately rushes to the area, trying to move bricks and what appears to be mangled electronic wiring off of her pet.

“Help me!” she pleads, and one of the crew rushes to do just that.

Beginning to cry as she pulls her dog to safety, Garcia says “thank God” with inexplicable relief at seeing her dog relatively unscathed.

“Well I thought God just answered one prayer, to let me be okay, but he answered both of them,” she remarks with a smile, petting her dog.  “Because this was my second prayer.”

Enough! For many years, the American Left has and continues to shamelessly abuse the American people; slandering, beating up and bullying them into submission by using the easily proven false narrative that America is a racist nation. In other words, the Left recklessly and unfairly plays the Race Card.

Why? The Left has great disdain for traditional American values and desires to transform America into it’s dreamed Socialist/Progressive utopia. Calling an opponent to the Left’s agenda “racist” typically frightens and shuts them down.

On behalf of my decent and hard-working fellow Americans, I demand an apology from the NAACP, the Congressional Black Caucus, the Democratic Party, Hollywood and the Mainstream Media. All of these self-proclaimed paragons of fairness and compassion are nothing more than liars; peddlers of hate and division. Each entity that I named is a cheering section and advocacy group, assisting the Left in the furtherance of it’s socialist/progressive agenda.

Somewhere in America’s recovery from the sin of slavery, the Left hijacked our well-intentioned Christian desire to achieve racial equality. The Left redefined “racial equality” to mean that minorities are never to be held responsible for their actions; minorities are entitled to endless government hand-outs via government confiscation and redistribution; opposing a minority on any issue is regarded racist and hateful.

O.J. Simpson’s attorneys successfully played the Race Card, changing the subject from Simpson murdering his wife. Baby murderer, Dr. Gosnell’s attorneys said his trial was about racism against a black doctor trying to help the poor. The Left is claiming that America’s outrage over Obama’s three scandals (IRS, Benghazi and AP) is rooted in racism against a black president. Whenever behavior by a black is indefensible, the Left plays the Race Card, expecting it to trump facts, truth, justice and logic. Innocent whites typically run to the tall grass fearful of being devoured by the all-powerful and all-consuming Race Card.

The Left plays the Race Card with impunity, intentionally attacking opponent’s First Amendment right to free speech. Victims of the Left’s unmerited use of the Race Card include Conservatives, Republicans and low-info voters – deceived to hate non-existent enemies; their brains infected with propaganda and misinformation.

Hollywood: Hollywood is notorious for promoting leftist agenda lies to low-info voters. For example: in a movie I was watching, actor Ice Cube delivered this line, “Tell the NRA to stop killing black people”. I stopped the DVD and threw the stupid piece of crap propaganda movie into my trash-can. The NRA does not target or kill black people. The irresponsible producers of this film spread their hateful lie to millions falsely accusing and slandering the NRA which simply defends our Second Amendment right to bear arms. NAACP: Serial liars! Chairman Emeritus Julian Bond said the tea party is “admittedly racist”. Mr Bond, show us the communication that proves your claim. President Ben Jealous said he saw signs, “Lynch Barack Hussein Obama” and “Lynch Eric Holder”. A year or more later, America is still waiting for Mr. Jealous to show us the two signs. The Tea Party deserves an apology.

Congressional Black Caucus: Rep Andre Carson said the Tea Party movement would “love” to see black Americans “hanging on a tree”. http://fxn.ws/oNpeR0 How outrageously inflammatory and hate-inspiring is that? But most of all, it is a despicable lie. As a black conservative having attended over 400 tea party rallies on numerous national tours, I have only encountered being loved to death. Rep. CBC members claimed being called the n-word 15 times outside of the U.S. Capitol by tea party participants. Breitbart offered a $100,000 reward for proof of the incident. The reward has not been claimed. http://bit.ly/10IDDNv These are only a few of many lies the CBC has told about the tea party. The Congressional Black Caucus owes the Tea Party an apology.

Democrats have declared that disagreeing or opposing Obama on any issue is racist. Remarkably, the Dems expect us to ignore Obama’s unprecedented usurping of power over the private sector and his routine unlawful trashing of the Constitution. Think about that folks. For the first time in U.S. History, we have a president that non-submission to his will could destroy you. Constitutional patriots deserve an apology.

The Mainstream Media: ABC’s former White House correspondent Sam Donaldson said many on the right oppose Obama solely because he is African-American. Such allegations from liberal MSM hacks are absurd and bogus. Let’s get real. Obama is the first Affirmative Action president; exempted from the traditional vetting process for one seeking the highest office in the land. Millions of white Americans could hardly wait to pull the level for America’s first black president; 40% now attend tea parties. Poor things…they naively thought electing Obama would relieve them of ever being called racist again.

Blacks are only 12% of the U.S. Population. So it took a whole lot of white votes to put Obama in the White House – two times. White America deserves an apology.

I am only one voice crying in the wilderness. Still, I feel compelled to shine the light of truth on how the American Left continues to abuse the American people via the unfair playing of the Race Card; solely to manipulate Americans into embracing an agenda contrary to that of our Founding Fathers.

John Adams said, “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people.” Such is who we are as Americans. Ironically, the Left uses America’s morality against her by playing the Race Card; with great success. Despicable.

My fellow Americans, you are a great people; non-deserving of the abuse you have suffered from the Left. You deserve much better. Don’t hold your breath, but the American Left does own you an apology.

The list of corruption, fraud, scandals, cover-ups, overreach and incompetence by the Obama administration is staggering and growing by the day. Voter fraud and manipulation in both 2008 and 2012, Fast and Furious, Benghazi-gate, IRS-gate, Press-gate and now Sebelius-gate and EPA-gate are all coming to light, yet we are really only seeing the tip of the iceberg and if it were any other president he would never have been elected for a second term and impeachment would be on the table.

But when you start looking at the long list of infractions, it really narrows down to 3 main ‘gates’: Incompetent-gate, Corruption-gate and Progressive-gate. Everything else falls within the parameters of those 3.  It is a story of incompetence or feigned incompetence and lies, a Culture of Corruption and the philosophy of Progressivism.  The amazing part is that President Obama himself, former Secretary Hillary Clinton, and head cop Eric Holder have all already admitted both directly and indirectly to the first one: Incompetent-gate. They have all admitted over and over again through their testimonies, speeches and press conferences that they were, have been and are incompetent. And anyone paying attention has realized that the buck stops with anyone they can pin it on except themselves. Even Obama’s detachment is strategic!

We are finally reaching the point where half of America wants Obama impeached; worshippers like Chris Matthews are questioning what President Obama likes about his job; courageous journalists are saying it like it is and whistleblowers are coming out of the woodwork.

The panic is obviously building on the left when you look the amount of energy and time both Obama himself and the administration have spent denying their involvement and tap dancing, especially the past 10-days.  IRS official Lois Lerner To Plead the Fifth At Congressional Hearing Tomorrow.  If you know the law, you can only take  the Fifth if you testimony could incriminate you of a crime, not just because you don’t want to answer.

You know they are nervous or someone is getting close when they throw a liberal icon like Bob Woodward under the bus!

But for the first time the mainstream media outlets, that has always been in Obama’s pocket, are beginning to cover the “gates” getting some information to the average Americans who don’t pay a lot of attention to politics.

WND:  Editor’s note: This is another in a series of “WND/WENZEL POLLS” conducted exclusively for WND by the public-opinion research and media consulting company Wenzel Strategies.

The faux stone columns from his Denver acceptance speech are crumbling, the fireworks have fizzled and the unadulterated adulation of Barack Obama is a sour feeling of disillusion, as a new poll reveals half of Americans wants him impeached, including a stunning one in four Democrats.

“It may be early in the process for members of Congress to start planning for impeachment of Barack Obama, but the American public is building a serious appetite for it,” said Fritz Wenzel, of Wenzel Strategies, which did the telephone poll Thursday. It has a margin of error of 4.36 percent.

“Half or nearly half of those surveyed said they believed Obama should be impeached for the trifecta of scandals now consuming Washington.”

Actually, on the issue of the Benghazi scandal, where four Americans were killed when in what may have been a politically motivated series of moves, a surging danger to Americans at the foreign service facility there was ignored until al-Qaida-linked terrorists attacked, 50.1 percent of Americans said Obama should be impeached. That included 27.6 percent of the responding Democrats.

On the scandal of the Internal Revenue Service intentionally harassing conservative and Christian organizations? Forty-nine percent said they agree that impeachment is appropriate, including 24.4 percent of the Democrats.

And on the fishing trip the Obama administration took into AP reporters’ telephone records in search of something that may well have been done by his own administration, 48.6 percent impeachment is appropriate. That included 26.1 percent of the Democrats.

It was only two months ago that respondents to the same poll suggested, although in smaller numbers, that impeachment was appropriate for other Obama scandals. At that time 44 percent said he should be impeached for his campaign to give amnesty to illegal aliens inside the U.S., and 46 percent said he should be impeached for launching the war to remove Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi.

“What is clear from the data is that Obama is at risk of losing his base,” Wenzel explained. “On each of these questions, about one in four Democrats said they agreed Obama should be impeached. What could be more alarming to the White House is that it appears that most of American is tuned in to these issues now, as 93 percent of registered voters said they get at least one news update on these issues every day.”

He continued, “Of the three issues now in the news, the one that has been there the longest, and the only one that has to do with the death of American citizens, is seen as the most important to Americans. While 49 percent said the Benghazi murders of U.S. diplomatic personnel is the most serious issue, 26 percent said IRS harassment was most serious, and 25 percent said the seizure of AP phone records was most serious. With news still breaking on all three fronts, it is impossible to know which of the three scandals will ultimately be the most damaging to the Obama administration. These findings clearly show Americans are concerned about what is going on in Washington.”

It spells headwinds for Obama, too, as he lobbies American voters to grant him his wish of having a Democrat Congress during the last two years of his reign, Wenzel said.

“What could be most concerning to the White House is that the Democratic Party effort to retake the U.S. House of Representatives next year may be at risk because of these issues. Asked whether they would lean to vote for the Democrat or the Republican in their own congressional district based on what they know about these three situations, 46 percent said they would lean toward voting for the Republican, while 39 percent said they would lean toward voting for the Democrat. Another 16 percent said these issues make no difference in their congressional vote,” Wenzel said.

He said, “The appetite is growing for impeachment proceedings. It is too early to say it is time for those proceedings to start, but it’s now possible to see that day on the far horizon.”

Of those who did not vote in 2012, based on their knowledge of Obama’s administration now, 37 percent say they would have gone back to vote for Republican Mitt Romney, 27 percent for Obama, and others undecided.

That the situation is serious for Obama was confirmed by former Reagan speechwriter Peggy Noonan.

“We are in the midst of the worst Washington scandal since Watergate. The reputation of the Obama White House has, among conservatives, gone from sketchy to sinister, and, among liberals, from unsatisfying to dangerous. No one likes what they’re seeing. The Justice Department assault on the Associated Press and the ugly politicization of the Internal Revenue Service have left the administration’s credibility deeply, probably irretrievably damaged. They don’t look jerky now, they look dirty. The patina of high-mindedness the president enjoyed is gone,” she said.

“The president, as usual, acts as if all of this is totally unconnected to him. He’s shocked, it’s unacceptable, he’ll get to the bottom of it. He read about it in the papers, just like you. But he is not unconnected, he is not a bystander. This is his administration. Those are his executive agencies. He runs the IRS and the Justice Department,” she continued. “A president sets a mood, a tone. He establishes an atmosphere. If he is arrogant, arrogance spreads. If he is too partisan, too disrespecting of political adversaries, that spreads too. Presidents always undo themselves and then blame it on the third guy in the last row in the sleepy agency across town.”

It’s even being compared to Watergate, that breakin episode that ultimately led to the resignation of President Richard M. Nixon.

That was confirmed by no less than Bob Woodward of the Washington Post, whose reporting on Watergate eventually snared the sitting president.

Woodward said recently, “If you read through all these emails, you see that everyone in the government is saying, ‘Oh, let’s not tell the public that terrorists were involved, people connected to al Qaeda. Let’s not tell the public that there were warnings.’ And I have to go back 40 years to Watergate when Nixon put out his edited transcripts to the conversations, and he personally went through them and said, ‘Oh, let’s not tell this, let’s not show this.’ I would not dismiss Benghazi. It’s a very serious issue.”

A Republican congressman recently brought up the subject.

“I would say yes. I’m not willing to take it [impeachment] off to take it off the table, but that’s certainly not what we’re striving for,” Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, told CNN.

“We want truth, we want to bring the people who perpetrated the terrorism in Benghazi to be brought to justice, and we want to have the president do what he has said he would always do. And that is be open and transparent. Thus far, the White House has not done that.”

Earlier, Chaffetz was interviewed by the Salt Lake Tribune, and was asked if impeachment were within the realm of possibilities.

“It’s certainly a possibility,” he told the paper. “That’s not the goal but given the continued lies perpetrated by this administration, I don’t know where it’s going to go. … I’m not taking it off the table. I’m not out there touting that but I think this gets to the highest levels of our government and integrity and honesty are paramount.”

Chaffetz has been championing the call to probe the Sept. 11, 2012, onslaught at Benghazi that left four Americans dead, including Ambassador Chris Stevens.

Other Republicans have also voiced impeachment as a potential final outcome.

Sen. James Inhofe, R-Okla., said last week impeachment was possible over the “most egregious cover-up in American history.

“People may be starting to use the I-word before too long,” Inhofe told radio host Rusty Humphries, according to the Hill.

“The I-word meaning impeachment?” Humphries asked.

“Yeah,” Inhofe responded.

Additionally, radio host Mike Huckabee, the former Arkansas governor and one-time presidential candidate, predicted Obama won’t serve out his full second term because of his complicity in a cover-up with Benghazi.

Other members of Congress who have uttered possible impeachment for a variety of reasons in recent years include Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C.; Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn.; Rep. Steve Stockman, R-Texas; Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas; Rep. Trey Radel, R-Fla.; and Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa.

Rock legend and gun-rights defender Ted Nugent said there’s “no question” Obama should be impeached, and he’s calling CNN anchor Piers Morgan an “effective idiot” in the battle over the Second Amendment.

Referring to Obama, Nugent says: “There’s no question that this guy’s violations qualify for impeachment. There’s no question.”

He blasted “the criminality of this government, the unprecedented abuse of power, corruption, fraud and deceit by the Chicago gangster-scammer-ACORN-in-chief.”

“It’s so diabolical,” he said.

Nugent made his comments in a recent interview with radio host Alex Jones.

Even Code Pink co-founder Medea Benjamin called for the impeachment of Obama over his policy of permitting drone strikes on American citizens overseas who are members of terrorist organizations.

On WABC Radio’s “Aaron Klein Investigative Radio,” Benjamin affirmed she believes the drone warfare is an impeachable offense.

William Wilkins, then a WilmerHale law firm partner, said, “We were so interested in the case we offered to do it pro bono.”

Lowe wrote that Wilkins and other firm lawyers worked with the church’s national counsel, Donald Clark, and proved they had invited Obama to the event before he announced his candidacy for president. “Evidence presented in a letter sent to the IRS in late March pointed to ground rules the organization had established for Obama’s visit; the church even cautioned churchgoers against engaging in any political activity,” Lowe wrote. “Had the IRS pursued the matter, it would have raised serious questions about the First Amendment’s application to church activities, Wilkins says.”

When President Obama nominated Wilkins to be the IRS’s chief counsel on April 17, 2009, his White House cited Wilkins’ experience as an attorney on issues relating to tax-exempt status organization. “He has a broad tax practice that includes counseling nonprofit organizations, business entities, and investment funds on tax compliance, business transactions, and government investigations,” according to the White House release announcing Wilkins’ nomination.

Cloward and Piven is in full force with Progressive-gate everywhere you look these days. Obama has the country thoroughly embroiled in a Trifecta of scandals encompassing tapping 120 AP phone lines, other media and the Senate cloakroom (oh hell, he’s bugging everyone these days); ignoring the dead heroes of Benghazigate (whom Obama and Clinton allowed to be murdered) and the most egregious of all, using the IRS as a political weapon to an extent never seen before and then denying he had anything to do with it (playing Sargent Schultz to a tee with Holder mimicking his Oscar winning performance). I don’t know whether to pull the covers over my head in exhaustion and embarrassment or to pop some popcorn and watch the whole progressive mess unravel.

While all this circus is being dramatically staged in Congress with much huffing and puffing, but little in the way of repercussions, other ‘interesting’ events have been occurring in America. Some even in my state of Idaho (surprise, surprise, surprise!).

First, let’s look at the 7 young Chemical Engineering students who were caught trespassing in Boston (yes, the very same Boston where we just had a terrorist attack) in the middle of the night at the Quabbin Reservoir, where Boston draws their drinking water from. They were from Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Singapore (Johnny… what are all three known for? Islam! Ding! Ding! Ding!). But, don’t you worry… They were found guilty of only trespassing — boys will be boys and girls (5 men and 2 women), don’t ya know. Don’t pay attention to their Chemical Engineering degrees or their country of origin or their religion. I’m sure it is just innocent hijinks. But I won’t be moving to Boston any time soon (read “ever”). This is according to the FBI, who I totally believe (not). The authorities claim there was never a threat to the water supply. Just like there was never a threat to the Boston Marathon and those nightly low flying aircraft over the area are probably just testing for pollen. Boston, you’ve got a real problem. It’s a problem we are seeing all across America… The authorities think Americans are morons and actually believe their lies. Nothing to see here – ever.

On to Idaho. This is ironic. I deliberately moved to this state because it was a conservative haven and about as safe as you could get. Sigh. Thanks to Obama’s immigration policy of ‘we’ll accept everyone, but those who should be here,’ we have caught an Uzbekistan Muslim in Boise who is here legally and gleefully plotting terrorist attacks. He didn’t get around to killing lots of Americans yet, so no biggie and definitely not in the major news cycle. Move along dupes. U.S. officials charged an Uzbek citizen in Idaho with providing bomb-making knowledge and other support to an Islamist militant group, knowing that it would be used in an attack, authorities said on Thursday.

Fazliddin Kurbanov, 30, a national of Uzbekistan living legally in Idaho, was arrested in Boise and faces a three-count grand jury indictment in Idaho and a single-count indictment in Utah, prosecutors said.

They said Kurbanov provided information and money to the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, which the United States has designated as a foreign terrorist organization. The group supports establishing strict Islamic rule in Uzbekistan.

This scum was probably spreading Shariah crappola in Boise and everywhere he could while dreaming of dead infidels nightly. He also believes in a Caliphate which is hardly surprising.

A little background on Uzbekistan from The Blaze:

Although the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan started in the 1990s with the stated aim of overthrowing the Uzbek regime and establishing an Islamic government, its goals have expanded to creating a broader Central Asian caliphate.

The movement’s fighters have a presence in Afghanistan’s northern provinces and in Pakistan’s Waziristan province. U.S. and Afghan officials say al-Qaeda has been building ties with the IMU.

Last year, an Uzbek named Ulugbek Kodirov was sentenced to a minimum 15 years in prison in Alabama for plotting to shoot President Barack Obama while on the campaign trail. Kodirov pleaded guilty, saying he was acting at the behest of the IMU.

Did it every occur to our governmental jack-wagons, that being from this particular bed of Islamic radicalism should preclude him from getting citizenship? Or, is it fast-track citizenship for all Muslims these days? No discrimination due to religion or terroristic tendencies.

A Russian radical Islamist is planning violent Jihad by himself? Has anyone, ANYONE, looked into his family there, his connections, his damned friends?! Hello! Remember Boston!! Gee, that was sooo long ago, we seem to have already forgotten. What you don’t see in the news is all the thwarted terror attacks going on the US – all over the place. And I would wager a fair number that have happened and have been covered up. Do we really not care until it is us? Are we that self-centered? The guy wasn’t protesting potatoes, people, he was plotting to kill innocent individuals. He also had ‘unnamed’ co-conspirators (sort of nixing the ‘lone wolf’ theme). Mull that over, Boise.

If Americans cared about terrorists whose plans are thwarted, the media would no longer be able to deny the one common thread – Islam.

As for Uzbekistan, Islamic fundamentalism has been on the rise there since the end of the Cold War. As Americans cheered the fall of the Soviet Union and the independence of Soviet satellite countries, Islam incubated.

Consider the formation of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), a consortium of twelve nation states that sought independence after the fall of the Soviet Union. Chechnya – homeland of the Tsarnaevs – attempted to break from the Soviets in 1991 but Russia would not allow it. Now that Americans are becoming familiar with Islamic terrorism from that region, Russia’s reticence to grant that independence appears a bit more warranted now than it did then.

Chechnya was one region that Russia simply was not willing to relinquish. In hindsight, the Chechen rebels’ propensity for violent terrorism almost certainly played a role in that decision. – The Case FOR Islamophobia, p. 355

While Uzbekistan does not have the uncontrollable problem with Islamic fundamentalism that Chechnya has, it is a nation whose history lies with the Turkish Ottoman Empire, as does the history of Kazakstan, Kyrgystan, Tajikstan, and Turkmenistan – all members of the CIS.

In short there are two story lines that are being overlooked relative to the arrest of Kurbanov. One is that he is allegedly a thwarted Islamic terrorist. The other has to do with the country he is from.

Americans better wake up fast before a car is parked in front of a place packed with Americans and the car trunk is packed with a nuke. It’s coming.

We are way past the time where we can just work and play like nothing is going on. We better wake up to the evil around us and among us before it swallows us whole. All of us including our children.

“Idaho man pleads not guilty in alleged Uzbekistan terror plot,” from the Associated Press, May 17 (thanks to Darcy):

BOISE, Idaho — An Uzbekistan national living in Boise said little during his first court appearance Friday on federal charges that he gave support, cash and other resources to help a recognized terrorist group in his home country plan a terrorist attack there.

Fazliddin Kurbanov, 30, was arrested Thursday during a raid of his small apartment. Prosecutors have offered few details of their investigation or Kurbanov’s alleged role in helping a militant group back home. He was charged in Idaho as well as Utah as a result of an extensive investigation into his activities late last year and this year.

Kurbanov pleaded not guilty during the hearing that lasted about 20 minutes. Kurbanov — with a short, cropped beard, dark hair and wearing a jail jumpsuit — spoke only a few words to the judge, their communication complicated by language differences.

Federal officials said they will enlist the help of an interpreter when Kurbanov, who lists Uzbek as his first language and Russian as his second in court documents, appears Tuesday for his detention hearing.

Until then, he will be held in the Ada County Jail. Kurbanov said he couldn’t pay for an attorney, so federal public defender Richard Rubin was appointed to handle the case.

“Given his arrest, we believe any potential threat he posed has been contained,” said U.S Attorney Wendy Olson, who declined to comment on whether federal agents are pursuing additional arrests. Their investigation is ongoing, she said.

Kurbanov has been living in the United States legally, but his immigration status is unclear. He said he had a job driving trucks in Boise and listed his only assets as a couple of used cars and a small amount of cash in checking and savings accounts.

His trial on the three counts filed in Idaho is scheduled for July 2.

Olson said she has seen Internet comments blaming Idaho’s Muslim community, something she called inappropriate. She said her office enjoys “outstanding partnerships” with its members.

“These charges shouldn’t be seen as a reflection on that community,” Olson said.

This caveat is obligatory nowadays, and there is nothing particularly wrong with it except that it reflects the influence of Islamic supremacist advocacy groups like the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), which push the fiction that Muslims in the U.S. are in danger of a large-scale “backlash” after jihad attacks occur or jihad plots are revealed.

The Idaho indictment charges Kurbanov with one count of conspiracy to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization and one count of conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists and possession of an unregistered explosive device.

It alleges that between August and May, Kurbanov knowingly conspired with others to provide support and resources, including computer software and money, to the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, which the U.S. has identified as a terrorist organization. The group’s purpose is to overthrow the government of Uzbekistan, said David B. Barlow, U.S. attorney in Utah. The alleged co-conspirators were not named.

The indictment also alleges Kurbanov provided material support to terrorists, knowing that the help was to be used in preparation for a plot involving the use of a weapon of mass destruction. On Nov. 15, Kurbanov possessed an explosive device, consisting of a series of parts intended to be converted into a bomb, according to the indictment. Those parts included a hollow hand grenade, a hobby fuse, aluminum powder, potassium nitrate and sulfur.

A separate federal grand jury in Utah charged Kurbanov with distributing information about explosives, bombs and weapons of mass destruction. For 10 days in January, Kurbanov taught and demonstrated how to make an “explosive, destructive device, and weapon of mass destruction,” the document states.

The Utah indictment, which will be handled separately after the Idaho prosecution is resolved, alleges that Kurbanov provided written recipes for how to make improvised explosive devices and went on instructional shopping trips in Utah showing what items are necessary to buy in order to make the devices, Barlow said. Kurbanov also showed Internet videos on the topic, Barlow said.

The prosecutor declined to say whom Kurbanov took on the shopping trips in Utah but said that information will come out as the case proceeds.

The indictment from Utah also alleges that Kurbanov intended that the videos, recipes, instructions and shopping trips be used to make an explosive device for the “bombings of a place of public use, public transportation system, and infrastructure facility.”…

I’m sorry, this does reflect badly on the Muslim community as a whole. They are not policing, condemning or hell, slapping the backs of their heads when it comes to their terrorist agenda.

This miscreant evidently appeared in court last Friday and could get 20 years. First, that is too light of a sentence for him — I prefer death. Second, he wouldn’t even get the 20 years. They’ll slap his hands and give him a light sentence and probation or he’ll get sent home. Either way, he’ll live to bomb another day. The enemy is among us, even in Idaho. Whether America accepts it or not, we are at war with radical Islam and we have a President who is on the wrong side.
